Wow we had an amaz­ing turnout for our annual Christ­mas Din­ner which was held on Sun­day Decem­ber 13^th at Mac­a­roni Grill on the Old Road. We had nearly 100 mem­bers attend and the evening was filled with good food and great con­ver­sa­tion. In the midst of the fun we also did accom­plish our main goal of elect­ing the Santa Clarita Velo Board for 2010. Please con­grat­u­late our out going Board Mem­bers who did a tremen­dous job in the past year and wel­come our new Board Mem­bers who will surely con­tinue doing good things for the club.

Some­one recently asked me if I had any words of wis­dom for the new Board? Yes, just remem­ber that our club’s main goal is to pro­mote cycling in the Santa Clarita Val­ley which is so much more than rid­ing a bike. It is wear­ing our jer­sey proudly, pro­mot­ing our club to new rid­ers, and most impor­tantly to give back to our community.
